Together with our partner Pervesk we are excited to introduce IBAN services to SpectroCoin clients. Starting today, you can quickly and easily open a free Euro IBAN account at our partner institution and dedicate it to SpectroCoin services.
A dedicated IBAN will enable you to send and receive payments in your own name directly to and from your SpectroCoin wallet. In this blog post, we explain how IBAN works and how you can get yours via SpectroCoin.
What is IBAN?
IBAN (International Bank Account Number) is an internationally accepted system designed to identify bank accounts and process international transactions. It is made up of up to 34 letters and numbers that encompass the information about the receiver and their financial institution.
The first two letters of an IBAN denote the two-character country code, the following numbers are known as check digits which enable the validation of routing information. The remaining part of the IBAN includes the bank or financial institution code, which helps identify the financial institution and the branch servicing the account, as well as the unique bank account number.
The many benefits of having a dedicated IBAN at SpectroCoin
At SpectroCoin, you can already make deposits and withdrawals using a wide variety of different payment methods, including free SEPA bank transfers. However, claiming a personal dedicated IBAN can open new ways to manage your finances.
A dedicated IBAN enables you to make and receive payments in your own name rather than the service provider’s name. Hence, you can receive your monthly salary, withdrawals from various trading platforms and transfers from your family or friends straight to your SpectroCoin account.
You can then exchange the funds to over 20 available crypto and fiat currencies or spend them at millions of points of sale worldwide by taking advantage of SpectroCoin prepaid card. You can also use your free Euro IBAN account to withdraw money locally and abroad with just a few clicks from your SpectroCoin wallet.
How to get an IBAN number?
Getting a dedicated IBAN via SpectroCoin is free of charge. First, you need to verify your SpectroCoin account, as well as your phone number. We have a great in-depth guide on how to do that in one of our previous blog entries.
If your account is already verified, your dedicated IBAN account is only a few steps away. Go to the “Wallets” section of your SpectroCoin account and select the EUR wallet. There, under the operations section, click the IBAN icon.
Once you submit a request to receive an International Bank Account Number, you will be asked to complete a questionnaire. After completing the questionnaire, your information will be evaluated further.
When your application has been reviewed, you will receive a notification via email about your application’s status. Please note that you may be asked for additional information.
